Sarah Perron, co-founder of Baby Om, is a yoga teacher, dancer and mother. Along with Laura Staton, Sarah began Baby Om after the birth of her first child in 1999. As a devoted yoga follower, her yoga practice extended through her 40th week of pregnancy and resumed within 4 weeks of her baby's birth. Her daughter, Rosey, inspired Sarah's extension into the exploration of mother and baby yoga through Baby Om.

As a professional dancer, she has performed with several renowned companies including Mikhail Baryshnikov's White Oak Dance Project, David Gordon Pick-Up Group, Tere O'Conner Dance and with Laura Staton, Lucy Guerin and Mark Dendy. She has toured worldwide as a performer and teacher, and had her original choreography commissioned in Europe as well as the United States. She is currently the editor/mentor for Tere O'Connor Dance Company.
Sarah completed her teacher training with Joni Yelsnichek in 1994. Recently she earned a certificate in prenatal and postpartum fitness through DTP (Dance Thru Pregnancy) at Yale University. She also has completed a teacher training in Yoga for Women with Jeanne-Marie Derrick.
